AC to Host ‘Losing Your Religion (or Not)?’ as Part of Chautauqua Series

Amarillo College invites the community to its next Chautauqua: Conversations About Be-ing Human event, “Losing Your Religion (or Not)?,” from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19 in the Oak Room in the College Union Building on Amarillo College's Washington Street Campus. This thought-provoking discussion will explore the evolving role of faith in a rapidly changing world—how people are questioning, reshaping, or reaffirming their beliefs in the face of modern culture, community, and technology.

AC Showcases Free Fall Concert Series — “Yes, We Do That Here!”

Amarillo College is turning up the volume this month with two evenings of live music, proudly presented by its student ensembles. The concerts are free and open to the public, and everyone is invited to celebrate the continued tradition of music-making at AC.Just this semester, one new student shared that she didn’t know Amarillo College had a band until a former classmate invited her to rehearsal. AC sophomore Eliza Pearson wins appointment to Amarillo Symphony

Amarillo College sophomore Eliza Pearson was about 10 years old back when she first lugged her cello into the Music Building and became a member of the renowned Suzuki Program for young and aspiring musicians at AC.

These days she’s toting that stringed instrument of hers just a couple of miles farther down the road – a relatively short jaunt that nevertheless propels her instantly from academia, esteemed though it may be, to genuinely rarefied air.
